INTERACTIVE SESSION ON STUDENTS’ SAFETY

Drive as if the person on the street is a dear friend or a close family member.” On 7 August 2023, our school organised an interactive session on ‘Students’ Safety ’ to create awareness among students of classes XI and XII on the importance of adheringto traffic rules and keeping cyber safety.The officers from Bhagat Ki Kothi Police Station conducted the session. They urged the students to develop an approach that helps in nation building. As the saying goes, ‘Keep the rules and the rules will keep you’, the prime focus of the officials was to prepare the students of XI and XII to shoulder responsibilities as citizens of India and inculcate within themselves the discipline to follow rules and regulations. The session was interactive; Sub Inspector Hanuwant Singh answered the queries put up by the students. The session highlighted the importance of safe driving. The officers briefed the students on the number of road accidents taking place in Jodhpur due to negligence of the riders. They appealed to the students to avoid the use of two-wheelers and wait for the rightage to drive. Emphasis was laid on using vehicles after 18 years of age and with a driving licence only.The session also threw light on cyber-crimes like hacking Instagram ID’s, editing photos uploaded on social media without permission, writing offensive comments and so on. The officers talked about the punishments that these crimes entail and underscored the importance of taking precautions.
