St. Anne’s Sr. Sec. School Middle Section Hosts a Dazzling Costume Carnival

The atmosphere at St. Anne’s Sr. Sec. School was nothing short of magical as students,
teachers, and esteemed guests gathered to celebrate one of the most anticipated events of the
academic year — the Middle Section Costume Carnival! On 13th August 2025 with bright
decorations and the infectious excitement of students from Classes 6 to 8, the school campus
transformed into a vibrant stage of tradition, imagination, and history.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address that set the tone for the day — filled
with joy, creativity, and celebration. The audience was greeted with heartfelt words honoring
the spirit of self-expression and learning through performance.
Adding prestige to the event were the two distinguished judges:
 Mrs. Sumita Sharma, the school’s talented Art Teacher, known for her keen
aesthetic sense and boundless creativity.
 Mrs. Sapna Joshi, the compassionate School Counsellor, recognized for her
dedication to students' mental and emotional well-being.
Their presence brought a perfect blend of artistry and empathy to the judging panel.
Class 6 wowed the audience with a beautiful showcase of regional costumes from across
India — from West Bengal’s elegant sarees to Punjab’s vibrant turbans and Kerala’s
traditional mund. The young performers also represented various professions, highlighting
everyday heroes like doctors, soldiers, nurses, and engineers. It was a heartwarming tribute to
India's diversity and workforce.
The stage turned into a wonderland of fiction and fun as Class 7 brought beloved
superheroes and cartoon characters to life. From Spider-Man and Wonder Woman to
Cinderella, Elsa, and even Pokémon characters — each student embodied the strength, magic,
and playfulness of their chosen persona. The audience was delighted by this imaginative and
energetic segment.
Class 8 took the audience on a powerful journey through Indian history, presenting freedom
fighters, spiritual icons, and political visionaries with grace and pride. Their portrayal of
historical legends served as a reminder of the values and sacrifices that have shaped the
nation.
As the judges deliberated, the audience was treated to a soul-stirring flute performance by
Suryansh Purohit of Class 8, providing a calm and reflective moment after the vibrant
performances.
The event concluded with a heartfelt thank you to the judges for their thoughtful evaluation
and constant encouragement. Each class was appreciated for their effort, creativity, and
confidence on stage. The Costume Carnival wasn’t just a display of dress and drama — it
