ANNUAL SPORTS MEET 2025–26 (MIDDLE WING)

Upholding the ideals of excellence, discipline, and holistic development, St. Anne’s Sr. Sec. School proudly hosted its 32nd Annual Sports Meet with remarkable enthusiasm and grandeur. The event was organised on 31st January 2026 at Gaushala Maidan, which resonated with energy, colour, and the vibrant spirit of healthy competition, reflecting the school’s enduring belief that physical fitness is integral to intellectual and moral growth.
The programme commenced with the torchbearers marching proudly across the ground, culminating in the ceremonial lighting of the sports torch, symbolising unity and sportsmanship. Thereafter, the Vice-Principal, Mrs. Tessy Joseph, formally declared the Sports Meet open and encouraged the students to participate with determination, discipline, and a sense of fair play.
Students of Classes VI to VIII actively participated in a wide range of track and field events, showcasing remarkable athletic skills, and enthusiasm. The competitions included long-distance races, thrilling relay races, ball balancing races, diya races, and the much-anticipated tug-of-war. Each event fostering leadership qualities and healthy competition among the participants. The playground reverberated with cheers and encouragement as students wholeheartedly supported their peers.
Sports transcend age and roles, promoting unity, joy, and active living within the school community. The 100-metre sprint races for male and female teachers as well as Karmchari staff added an engaging and lively dimension to the event. Their enthusiastic participation delighted the students and spectators alike.
The Annual Sports Meet highlighted the vital role of sports in promoting students’ physical, mental, and emotional development by fostering stamina, discipline, resilience, and teamwork. The event concluded with the distribution of trophies, medals, and certificates to the winners, celebrating effort, dedication, and sportsmanship.
