English Elocution Competition 2026-27(Middle Wing)

Reciting a poem helps us see the world through another writer's eyes and listen to a voice outside our own. It was an inspiring morning filled with expressive voices and thunderous applause as our school hosted its annual English Elocution Competition on 17th August, 2026 for Classes VI and VII and on 18th August, 2026 for Class VIII. The competition was conducted with the aim of developing students’ confidence, fluency and pronunciation. 

The event not only encouraged creativity and self-expression but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and appreciation for the English language within the school community. It served as a testament to the power of poetry in inspiring and connecting individuals across diverse backgrounds and interests. Class VI captivated the audience with humorous poems while Class VII recited soulful poems written by Mrs. Sarojini Naidu. Class VIII mesmerised everyone with the evocative poems written by Indian poets. The students were judged on the parameters of memory, pronunciation and confidence. The participants used effective gestures and changes in tone to make their recitation more engaging. This event celebrated not only the beauty of language but also expressive abilities of our young speakers. Each participant had worked hard to bring their poem alive through their voice expression and emotion. As the final applause echoed through the auditorium, the event came to a close, leaving behind cherished memories and a renewed appreciation for the power of words.
