Independence Day Celebration at Our School

Our school celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm, patriotism and a spirit of togetherness. The celebration began with a magnificent parade led by our Head Boy, Prateek Jain, and Head Girl, Vani Jain. The four houses of the school—Ashoka, Akbar, Jodha and Shivaji—marched with pride under the leadership of their respective House Captains and Vice Captains. The disciplined march and energetic participation of the students set the perfect tone for the celebration.

Following the parade, the Chief Guest, Ms. Shalini Kulshrestha, hoisted the Tricolour along with our respected Principal. The unfurling of the national flag filled the atmosphere with pride and patriotism. The programme then commenced with an inspiring address by the Chief Guest, who shared a motivating message with the students. This was followed by an inspiring speech by our Head Boy, Prateek Jain. On behalf of the Head Girl, Alshifa delivered the speech.

The cultural programme began with a melodious patriotic song presented by the school choir. The talented students sang with great enthusiasm and filled the atmosphere with patriotic spirit. This was followed by an energetic patriotic dance performance, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone present.

The celebration became even more special with performances by two of our school's champions and national-level players. Vani Jain, a national-level karate player, showcased her remarkable skills through a powerful karate performance set to upbeat music. Rakshita Solanki, a national-level gymnast, presented a spectacular gymnastics performance to a beautiful musical composition. Their confidence, talent and dedication left the audience highly impressed.

After the formal programme, the celebration continued with a fun-filled activity for the students. We returned to our classes, which were merged for the occasion, and participated in an exciting game of Housie, hosted by our teachers. Each student received a sheet containing events from 1901 to 1999. As an event was announced, we had to identify it on our sheet and cancel the corresponding number on our Housie card. The winners were rewarded with chocolates, adding to the excitement and enthusiasm.

The celebration concluded on a cheerful note as the students enjoyed refreshments together. The day was a memorable blend of patriotism, talent, discipline and fun, leaving everyone with cherished memories of a truly special Independence Day celebration.
